Sewing Retreat: Craft Your Passion at Arete Hostel

Our sewing and craft areas at Arete Hostel are thoughtfully arranged to promote a smooth workflow and comfort during your sewing retreat. The first floor features eight sewing stations equipped with individual lighting and shared power towers, while the second floor adds three more stations for your convenience. You'll find a dedicated cutting station, two ironing setups, and a spacious 4'×8' design wall to accommodate all your projects. A projector with Roku is available for demonstrations or for relaxed evenings enjoying your favorite shows.

We comfortably host 8–11 guests. The space includes five single dorm beds, each with its own light, fan, and sound machine, alongside two quiet queen bedrooms and an additional queen sectional. There are four showers and four toilets to ensure convenience for all guests.

Guests will appreciate access to fresh linens and towels, hair dryers, and complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The professional kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, utensils, and essential ingredients such as oils and spices, perfect for group meals. Appliances include a stand mixer, pressure cooker, kettle, blender, toaster oven, Keurig, and Moccamaster, with coffee and tea always on hand. Additionally, a laundry area with washing powder, a projector with Roku, and a variety of card and board games enhance comfort during longer stays.

The Arete Hostel is quiet and nestled in nature, yet conveniently close to town amenities. Quilt shops offering a wide range of quilting supplies are located within an hour and a half, and groceries, restaurants, Walmart, Lowe’s, and a cinema are just a short 5–10 minute drive away.

*There's an attached but separate apartment on the lower floor that is usually occupied. The only shared space is the yard and driveway.
